Hosted by local artist Tom Cassidy at Vesper College during their end of semester all-student show.
Introduction: Access to Art host Tom Cassidy talks with Vesper College Dean Dan Noyes about the College. Also, first semester students talk to Tom about their end of semester projects.
Segment One: Artists on the Verge is a fellowship and mentorship program that supports experimental new media artists working in Minnesota. In this first year of the program, which comes from interactive media arts organization Northern Lights and is funded by the Jerome Foundation, 6 commissions were awarded. There will be a joint exhibition of the grantees in late Spring/early Summer of 2009. Access to Art Correspondent Ashley Siebels talked with several of this year?s winners about their projects.

Segment Two: In the article "The Exhibitionists" on mnartists.org, writer Andy Sturdevant explored the world of "shadow galleries,ad hoc art exhibitions often located in personal living spaces. The Space, a temporary gallery run out of the one-bedroom apartment of a Minneapolis College of Art and Design student, is one such gallery. This spring the Space hosted its first gallery opening. Access to Art correspondents Beth Peloff and John Akre visited the gallery and spoke with its host and curator.

Segment Three: Extreme Noise is a volunteer-run cooperative record store located in the Lyn-Lake neighborhood of South Minneapolis. Started in 1994 by folks involved in the thriving local punk scene, the store is the only one in the Twin Cities specializing in punk music. To celebrate their 15th Anniversary the store is sponsoring all-ages concerts at the Triple Rock Social Club. Access to Art Correspondents Laura Stopyro and Spencer Sinn attended one of the anniversary shows and interviewed some of the many people involved in starting and continuing this punk landmark.
