The Launch of Producer's Happy Hour

In an effort to find ways for our community to get together and find resources in one another, the teachers here at MTN have constructed a chance for you to mingle with minds like YOURS. The hope is that producers looking for specific ideas and support will find them among other members and users of the public access that MTN offers. The happy hour will be a combination of party, class, and TV show.  Team members from the talented MPLS.tv collective will be our guests this time around and will discuss production planning and show promotion. The initial Producer's Happy Hour will be next Friday October 22 at 7pm here at the MTN Studios. If you're looking for a community to run your ideas by or you just want to have a cocktail with some local MTN celebrities and get on TV, COME ON OUT!

An Evening with Paul Wellstone

To commemorate the eighth year anniversary of  the passing of  Senator Wellstone, MTN will be hosting an evening of Paul Wellstone television. The broadcast will begin at 6pm Monday October 25th on channel 16. The Wellstone block of TV will feature a documentary produced by our own Exectutive Director, Pam Colby. The programming office is still taking submissions for the evening and will continue to do so until Thursday October 21st at 10am. We hope you will tune in and learn more about the great Minnesotan activist or walk down memory lane with us as we honor his memory with our television tribute.

Don't Unsubscribe...Thank You.

We're pretty new to this here newsletter business and it seems that although our list of email addresses comes from the public that takes our Free Information Orientation, some of the folks on our list may be disconnected from our community. We apologize if you did not wish to be on our mailing list when you gave us your email address and beseech you to simply email Vera Allen at vera@mtn.org to be removed from our list. This is very helpful in keeping up our standard with our email provider and you can still get off the list. Thank you for your support and action.
