Bill Burleson took our Basic Studio Production class last spring and assisted other producers with their own shows to hone his skills and then began his own show, “Bi Cities,” in September 2002. He has now produced 9 programs in four months. “Bi Cities” runs Tuesdays at 7:30 pm on channel 17 and features people and topics from the bisexual community of Mpls.-St. Paul.
Also Chris Thompson and friends wasted no time getting their sports program on our channels. After taking the Studio class in October he has already turned in quite a handful of episodes of “MSP Sports” since then. It is carried on MTN Friday evenings at 7:30 pm. on channel 17, following “Purple Funk”. Chris is also the publisher of the website TwinsDugout.com and another website specializing in Minnesota Wild hockey... TwinsDugout.com/WildOnIce.net.
MTN has seen an expanding sports focus. Other sports activities on the MTN channels include “The U.F.D.A. Today” (Ultimate Flying Disc Association) produced by Dan Webster, and “What’s Hoopin’” highlighting Women’s Pro-Am League basketball, produced by Tony Geer. There is still space on our channels for your own program, so come on down. First stop is the information workshop, held every other Wednesday evening at 7 pm.
