Video Voices Documentaries 2009 show 6

MTN has been a partner with Minneapolis South High since 1989 in the Voices program. Voices is a social studies class at South, but a vital part of that class is the partnership with MTN. MTN trains students in the Voices class in camera and editing, and the students make documentaries and PSA's on important social issues.

VOICES stands for Values, Options, Issues and ChoicEs in Society.

Here are this year's student produced documentary projects.

South High students Rachel Kytta, Rhea Fosco, Yvonne Powless, Anna Gleason, Amanda Hurajt and Victor Easter created "Text Me," a video about texting in schools. They produced the piece with help from the Minneapolis Television Network (MTN) through the Voices program.

Show 6 Segment 2

South High students Joah, Devi and Lee produced "a Beginner's Guide to Facebook," a multi-generational look at social networking. They made the video with help from the Minneapolis Television Network (MTN) through the Voices program.
